As informs resource DigiTimes, deliveries of the peripheral devices with support USB 3.1 should begin in first half of 2015. Such information came from industry sources from companies such as Microsoft, Intel and Apple.
Recall that the new USB standard is capable of transferring data at speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second. Also the main distinctive feature should be the connector of the new generation USB Type-C, which can be connected to the device by either side, as it is implemented in the lightning connector from Apple.
According to some sources, as early as 2015, most new laptops will have a Type-C connector and support for the USB 3.1 standard. In addition, even laptops from Apple can also acquire an innovative connector.
The main suppliers of USB chips can be such companies as Genesys Logic, Alcor Micro, ASMedia Technology, Prolific Technology and Phison Electronics.
