The company IO Data decided to release another external optical drive. The new BRD-U8S works with Blu-ray discs, has 3D Blu-ray technology support, USB 2.0 interface and burn speeds up to 8x.
The dimensions of the drive are 158mm x 220mm x 50mm, it weighs 1.2kg, is painted black, has a 4Mb clipboard and can work both horizontally and vertically. The stated recording speeds are: 8x for BD-R (SL / DL), 2x for BD-RE, 16x for DVD-R / + R, 12x for DVD-RAM, 8x for DVD-R / + R DL and DVD + RW , 6x for DVD-RW, 48x for CD-R and 24x for CD-RW.
The BRD-U8S is warranted for one year. In Japan, the new product will be available early next month. Price - about 233 dollars.
