Following Plextor, ASUS and Buffalo, Lite-On also decided to introduce on the European market a new external Blu-ray eHBU212 cutter with USB 3.0 interface and the possibility of burning BD-R discs at speeds up to 12x.
Lite-On's new cache is 8MB, and the presence of Smart-Burn and Smart-X technologies allow you to record and play discs very carefully. There is support for LightScribe (for applying pictures to discs). The recording speeds are as follows: 12x for BD-R (already mentioned), 8x for BD-R DL, 2x for BD-RE (DL), 16x for DVD-R / + R, 12x for DVD-RAM, 8x for DVD-R / + R DL and for DVD + RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 48x for CD-R and 24x for CD-RW.
The package includes software CyberLink Blu-ray Suite (for recording, creating copies and playing discs). The novelty should appear on sale already this month. Having pre-order, you can buy eHBU212 for 155 euros, for all the others for 165 euros.
