An interesting novelty at CES 2011 was a digital scanner called Book Saver, whose optical text recognition (OCR) system can create a digital copy of two book pages in just one second.

The only drawback of this scanner is the impossibility of automatic page turning. Otherwise, Book Saver is similar to standard scanners; it can also export scanned documents in PDF and JPEG formats. The front panel of the device, along with two built-in cameras, features the Wii Remote KIRF motion detector, which detects page flipping.

Home sales are scheduled for June of this year. Retail price of Book Saver will be $ 149.
