The company Kingston has announced a pair of new flash drives with the function of protective data coding. DataTraveler 4000 and DataTraveler Vault - Privacy Managed, first of all, should attract the attention of business employees.
The DT4000 uses the FIPS 140-2 Level 2 military coding system - the ultimate solution for protecting priceless financial data. Later this year should release hard drives with similar protection.
The Privacy Managed model has the function of controlling all USB flash drives within its range. For this purpose, it uses the BlockMaster SafeConsole terminal. Among other things - password protection, check whether the flash drive was running, and what files were downloaded or downloaded from it, and then deleted, and much more.
DT4000 will be available in versions 2, 4, 8 and 16GB. Prices start at $ 75 for the younger model. Privacy Managed will be available in versions from 2 to 32GB.
