On Wednesday, HP officially unveiled four entry-level monitors - the 2010i, 2210i, 2310m and 2710m. Their screen size is 20, 21.5 and 27 inches, respectively. Although new items belong to the budget category, they have very decent technical characteristics, writes Electronista.
The youngest model in this series, the 2010i, supports a resolution of 1600 × 900. Its response time and static contrast are 5 ms and 1000: 1. As for brightness, it is standard for monitors of this class - 250 nits. The monitor is equipped with VGA, DVI-D ports with HDCP support, as well as an audio input.
The second model, 2210m, is slightly faster and brighter: its response time and brightness are 2.5 ms and 300 nits. In addition to VGA and DVI-D inputs with HDCP support, this monitor also has an HDMI port. As for the third model, 2310m, then by all indicators it does not differ from 2210m, but slightly slower: its response time is 3 ms. However, the VESA mount is also included in its package, so it can be easily installed on the wall.
The oldest model in this series is the 2710m. It is not only brighter, but also faster, and last but not least, its color coverage is 92 percent. Its response time and brightness are 2.5 ms and 400 nits. In all other respects, this monitor is no different from other models in this series.
It is worth noting that all the above models fully meet the requirements of Energy Star 5.0 and TCO 5.0 standards. In addition, their backlight system does not use 4 light bulbs, like many monitors of this class, but only two, so they contain much less toxic substances and consume much less energy than similar solutions from other vendors. Their cost is 180, 220 and 260 US dollars, respectively. As for the latest model, 2710m, then its price will be announced today, on Thursday.
