If you believe Philips, this is a major achievement of four technologies - PowerSensor (presence sensor), SmartPower (background lighting sensor), ZeroWatt (allows you to completely turn off the monitor power) and Soft-Off (reduces monitor power consumption to 0.1 W in standby mode).
