Epson has announced the release of its Stylus Photo PX650 combo printer, aimed at digital photographers. The novelty is able to print without connecting to a computer thanks to a 2.5-inch LCD-screen, as well as a slot for memory cards and PictBridge support. The PX650 can also scan and copy photos thanks to the built-in scanner with a resolution of 1,200 DPI.
Epson claims that the photos printed on the PX650 can “live” for up to 200 years thanks to the resistant paint Claria Photographic Ink. Printing a photo of 15 by 10 cm, according to the manufacturer, takes about 12 seconds. Epson Stylus Photo PX650 will be released on September 1 this year in the UK for about $ 215.
