NEC has released its first monitor with a DisplayPort port - a 23-inch MultiSync EA231WMi. In addition to the full-size connector, the novelty is equipped with DVI and VGA inputs. In addition, the monitor has light sensors for auto-tuning for environmental conditions.
The monitor has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 and is equipped with stereo speakers, as well as a four-port USB hub. Dynamic contrast is low and is only 3,000: 1, but the new product uses a much more accurate IPS-panel, which provides better color reproduction than TN-panels.
