Following the Japanese release, NEC introduced the American versions of its new high-end LCD monitors. The new LCD2490WUXi2 and LCD2490W2 are equipped with 24-inch IPS-panels, providing better picture quality than PVA or TN-panels. The panels display 96.7% of the sRGB color space. They also have 12-bit color tables, as well as adaptive light sensors for auto-luminance.
Both models have a static 1000: 1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 320 cd / m2 and are equipped with DVI and VGA video inputs. Unlike the LCD2490WUXi2, the LCD2490W2 also has a SpectraView color calibrator to improve the picture quality. The price of the LCD2490WUXi2 and LCD2490W2 is $ 1,099 and $ 1,299, respectively.
