Toshiba SDD has released a new device from the line of individual drives - a 500-gigabyte portable external USB 2.0 drive. The device is powered exclusively by USB and is equipped with an internal shock sensor and Ramp loading technology. The storage capacity is sufficient for storing 142 thousand medium digital photos, 131 thousand medium songs or 222 movies in DVD-quality or 58 hours of video in HD-quality.
The drive has a pre-installed NTI Shadow software for automatic data backup. The drive weighs about 170 grams and is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS X version 10.3.9 or later. The price of new items is about $ 180.
